Asus’ new transportable monitor appears to be like prefer it was ripped from a Duo laptop computer

The Asus ProArt Show PA147CDV is a 14-inch touchscreen that’s designed to behave as a secondary show for creatives. With its small form-factor and ultrawide 32:9 side ratio it appears to be like as if Asus has ripped the secondary show off one in all its Duo laptops and turned it into an exterior monitor.

The PA147CDV was technically introduced final September, however Asus is at the moment exhibiting it off on the NAB 2022 present in Las Vegas and is asserting plans to launch the monitor in Q2 2022 in North America at a value that’s but to be introduced.

With its help for Microsoft’s Pen Protocol 2.0, and a in-built dial that’s designed to emulate the performance of Microsoft’s Floor Dial, Asus is pitching the PA147CDV as an adjunct for creatives in search of a little bit further display real-estate with out investing in a cumbersome second monitor or touchscreen pill. Hopefully it’ll be priced lower than competing shows with bigger display sizes.

In addition to the PA147CDV, Asus can also be exhibiting off a pair of further screens releasing later this yr. The ProArt Show OLED PA32DC 31.5-inch 3840 x 2160 monitor, which was revealed final September, is deliberate for launch in North America in Q3. It’ll be joined by the ProArt Show PA348CGV, an ultrawide 1440p monitor with a 120Hz refresh price that was introduced again at CES 2022. We’ll replace this piece if and when Asus will get again to us about pricing.
